After the official foundation of the centre 14-16 February, 2004, it held the first international conference: “Religion and Society – Faith in our lives: Past, Present and Future”. Up to 100 scholars working in various fields of societal studies took part in the conference, a number of relevant questions were discussed in a round-table forum and the conference proceedings were published as a collection.
